Ellie's First Post

Hey! I'm Ellie Webb and I'm the girl that went to Ireland. One thing I didn't tell the class was that my uncle, Michael Berg is the writer of Ice Age. He wrote the entire first and second movie and helped with the third and forth. Since he is the writer, Michael was able to put my name in as the female Mammoth, Ellie. When the first movie came out I went with him and my aunt to the movie premier in Radio City, New York. I met the director as well as the voices of the characters including: Ray Romano from Everybody Loves Raymond (Manny), John Leguizamo (Sid), and Denis Leary (Diego). Ever since I was little, I've always loved sharing this story! 

As cliche as it sounds my favorite Buckeye is my mom, Gail Webb. She used to work in the hospital at OSU and created her own position there! Her position consisted of keeping the line of communication open between the Doctors/Surgeons and the family members in the waiting room. In hospitals usually nurses do this but they also have other patients to worry about therefore this position is dedicated to this one task. I hope no one has ever experienced waiting in the hospital waiting room but if you have, you know that it takes forever to get an answer on how your family member or friend is doing. So with this new position my mom's goal was to improve how fast news gets to the families about their patient.
