On the morning of September 16th Aaron Alexis fired at innocent victims at a Washington Navy Yard. The result was 12 dead and 4 wounded. The Navy had started processing Alexis for a general discharge before the attack, given to service members whose performance is satisfactory but considered below
standards expected for duty and conduct. He had a few incedents recorded of shooting out peoples tires but none of it was investigated. He also went to a specialist for deminsia and never continued with treatment.
My question is what is our form of security and how are we issuing gun control for the mentally ill?

I agree with the question you have about what our we going to do to create better security. I think too many of these incidents happen and they are kind of looked over. People that have records of having problems shouldnt just be released of their treatment. And your point of how are we issuing gun control. If he had record of shooting tires and what not he shouldnt be allowed to have a gun.
ReplyDeleteI think that's really bad that no one took care of this sooner to prevent it. If he was showing signs before the attack he should have been released immediately. Obviously he was not well enough to have any kind of gun in his hand.
ReplyDeleteIf he had a few recorded gun incidents why did they just ignore it? It makes me angry that so often many people have signs leading up to their explosions but no one does anything early enough to prevent it. Its sad that due to this others were injured.
