Exploration 9: How To Tie A Tie

Growing up i have always wanted to learn how to tie a bow tie. Its a bit different than tying a normal tie. You need:
-A bow ties
-A dress shirt
-A mirror

You start by hanging the tie around your neck, with one side 1.5 inches below the other side. Then proceed to cross the two ends. From here push the one side, aside and curl the other side up on itself. By doing this you make a partial bow, this is where you make the knot. Proceed to pull the other side behind the bow, and through the knot, then do it again. From here pull on either ends of the bow to make it tighter. The tighter you pull the smaller the knot will be and the bigger the bow will be too.

I really wanted to learn how to do this because i know how to tie a normal tie, but i have always thought bow ties were stylish and never knew how to form it. After watching this you tube video i believe i got the hang of it and am ready to put it to the test.
