I thought to myself, what is a ridiculous invention? To me, the pogo stick seems like a strange concept. I never thought it was very fun jumping up and down in place occasionally missing the ground resulting in a heavy metal object landing on your leg. If you look at Wikipedia, there is a special section for pogo stick accidents. I did some research and the pogo stick was invented by George H. Herrington in 1891. I was surprised to find out that most recently, the pogo stick has gained popularity in the world of extreme sports. The new sport is called extreme pogo or Xpogo.
